Emergency Lighting

In the event of fire or an emergency Emergency Lighting is required to provide and maintain adequate levels of illumination to ensure the safe evacuation of your premises in the event of a fire or emergency. Emergency Lighting is designed to switch on when there‚Äôs a loss of power and should be tested regularly and in accordance with BS5266 and BS9990 to ensure compliance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Fire Risk Assessor

Most new buildings now have emergency lighting installed during construction, the design and type of equipment is normally agreed between the Fire Risk Assessor, System Designer, User, Fire Authority, Building Control Officer and System Installer. 

If your building is not a new build, a Fire Risk Assessor will decide the appropriate type and volume of emergency lighting necessary to provide the required levels of illumination.
